DƯA XANH (BLUE MELON) Sample
he She partnered with fellow MCAD alum and local artistic influencer Anh Tran to create a pattern that represented joint memories of student life at MCAD with our very own She She MCAD alum, Kate Worum. During our fun and long brainstorming session, a repeated idea and ever-present genre surfaced for everyone: fruit. From some of their earliest sketches in design school to work that has been created post-graduation, fruit (specifically bananas) seemed to keep coming up. Anh says it best when she explains, "I am usually inspired by produce in the grocery store and their beautiful colors, patterns, and shapes. The way that their existence presents itself in such a fun way brings me so much joy!"
Though apples are an ubiquitous symbol of education, our blue melons still nod to the MCAD student experience. They're whole, they're textural, and you need to engage with them to fully discover their depth.
10% of proceeds of DƯA XANH (BLUE MELON) will be donated to the MCAD scholarship fund.
